Air-cooled condensers are simpler where water is limited. Water-cooled condensers are often more efficient for larger plants when cooling water and tower maintenance are available. Evaporative-cooled systems can be a strong option in hot climates when the buyer needs better heat rejection than air cooling and wants to reduce water use compared with a full water-cooled system.
